Thomas Satyadas is a very caring surgeon explaining carefully and listening to what you are worried about. I had a Whipple operation which took many hours, but when I came round Mr Sayadas was there to tell me that everything had gone well. I have just had my 3 yr check up and alls well, and he was just as interested to know how I am now, as at the beginning, I cant thank Thomas Satyadas, and the rest of the team enough.

Thomas Satyadas sat down with us and explained every thing to us both(my husband and myself) fully and waited while we asked questions, he is very caring, thoughtful, and understanding. I had a Whipple operation which takes many hours, but when I came round the morning after Mr Satyadas arrived to let me know that the operation had gone well. I have just had my 3rd annual check and all is fine. I would like to thank him and all the team for excellent care.

I was referred to Thomas Satyadas in August 2013, following the discovery of a giant heamangioma attached to half of my liver. As I had suffered no symptoms, this was a complete shock. After 3 unsuccessful attempts to shrink the growth, the decision was made by Thomas and his team to carry out a liver resection, which was done in September. I cannot thank Thomas enough for the support and care that he has given to me and my family over the past 2 years. He truly makes you feel that you are his most important patient, and nothing is ever too much trouble. His patience and understanding of what I was going through was truly amazing. Thomas came to see me the night before the operation, rang my husband as soon as it was over, and came to see me every day in hospital. He also rang regularly when I got home. It is clear that Thomas is highly respected in the hospital, as the staff would do that bit extra for his patients. My operation was a complete success, and I am now well on my way to recovery. I cannot recommend or thank Thomas enough, and it was a privilege to be under his care. Helen Rigby

I have total appreciation for the care I received from Dr Thomas Satyadas from the very beginning when I was admitted to the MRI. Mr Satyadas was the first person that I saw and he explained in great detail what my treatment would entail, I had a broken hip and there was a blockage in my stomach, he was very concerned about a cyst on the head of my pancreas. From that first meeting I knew I would be in safe hands because Mr TS made me feel so at ease, he came to see me on the ward the night before my operation (whipples procedure) and asked if I was concerned about anything, once again I felt so at ease and not one bit nervous about what was going to happen. My family and friends could not believe how relaxed I was about it all, my answer was I trusted him completely. When I came round from surgery Mr TS was there and he handed me his mobile so i could speak to my brother, he came on the ward everyday without fail to see me so concerned and generous with his time, he even phoned me the day after I came home and several more times to see if I was alright. I will never forget Mr Satyadas for saving my life, he truly is a wonderful and brilliant surgeon, he has been my guardian angel, a genius and it has been an honour and pleasure to have known this lovely man Margaret Dawson

Thomas removed a GIST and also metatarses which many people would have missed, ensuring that I didn't need any further treatment form the Oncologist. In addition, he was incredibly reassuring to my husband and did everything possible to put us both at ease. Subsequently he has seen us both in clinic to ensure that there has been no recurrence.
